very cool - thanks - i'll look into that one and whichever one arbuth comes back with

you are right - it is the only way to go - i am seriously realizing that lately - mailing piles of cdr's has becomes unwieldly and time consuming

and costly, since i can burn dvd-audio,i can put 3 shows of wave files on one disc and no breaks between cd changes drums/space etc...that's nine cd-r's for 3 shows

very true

it will be off to Best Buy (or some such store) for some post holiday sale shopping. hopefully before my credit card bill comes in, when the entire Northeast corridor will hear me shrieking like a 4 year girl being surprised by a garden snake.

got a Memorex drive ... can't see a model #, but it's listed in the booklet that came with as "Memorex DVD Recorder, dual-format, double-layer," whatever all that tech jargon means. It works and that's enough 4 me. And damn, i know what you mean about having enough USB ports, as i have to swap out the DVD recorder with my printer. God, i love technology, but it's so demanding, ha, ha.

thanks man - will check that out along with the one tiger is using. it is starting to become a "necessity" - and from what tiger mentioned, they seem to be less expensive than what i thought they would be. that is good :)

with just a smidgeon of foresight, i could have written a letter to Santa

"with just a smidgeon of foresight, i could have written a letter to Santa"

[rumour has it that Cush is actually Santa, but i believe those rumours are unfounded since it's also rumoured that Cush is an unrepentant reprobate ... and that's certainly not Santa-like]

but Cush did say he didn't "need no stinkin passport" to visit England (or any foreign country i would gather) - so maybe there is some truth to the rumour and he is just tricking us into thinking he is a lech and a reprobate. hmmmm, methinks we have a mystery.

he's probably over at robthewordsmiths already, eating up all the leftover pasta and drinking his wine.... the bastard!!!

He's like the uninvited guest that just won't leave. And notice how close in proximity the words "lech" and "leech" are? Makes one pause and wonder ... and what the hell is a "cush" anyway???

An unrepentant reprobate AND a lech! It's good to hear you all speak of me in a complimentary manner even when I'm not here!

Me? Santa? Does that mean I really might get a Grateful time machine this year?!?!?!

What is a "cush" (insert diabolical laugh here)

A lil' better than yesterday night/morn, but probably because i am closer to the weekend. Of course, culture is for large part still in the proverbial toilet.

Listenin' to the sickbits#4 - 1/22/78 (thanks to tigerbolt for the tip!), and lovin' it truly. Damn! What a show.

How're things in the southwest corner of our country? Any stories, anecdotes, reportage, observations that you'd care to share and to let us narrow-minded folk along the northeast corridor listen in on??

Southwest corner is doing well, mighty chilly though. The birdbath was frozen the last two mornings!

Nothing out of the ordinary or interesting to report. Though I guess if I am indeed Santa, I could say anything and you & all of my children would have to accept it!!! LMAO now!!!

it's pretty easy, just punch in the band name, year, date and the source you have and that's it.lots of different skins you can use and they provide little logo's for the main acts.

I linked to it just fine from here.

I've never etree-ed before. I went to the registration page, filled in all of the fields, then on the log-in page and became confused as to what my user name was supposed to be. I thought I was following the directions, had put in an http//etree web address with a name I chose, and put in my own name in the field where it said that I might want to use a normal kind of name instead of the one entered in the prior field. I tried a number of combinations on the log-in page, but none of them worked to get me going. I couldn't find anything in the FAQ's that seemed to help, either. Can anybody tell me what I should or shouldn't be doing here? Thanks.
